A DIFFERENT MINDSET TO HELP ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS
The worst thing anyone can do is sit around and worry if they will be able to financially survive, whether that is regarding an economic crash or over-extending themselves financially. If there was one lesson to learn that would carry you through any bad situation and into prosperity throughout your life, what would that be? One may have marveled at how successful business people become hugely successful over others. People like Henry Ford, Richard Branson, and Elon Musk have all had to face economic catastrophes and near bankruptcy, at some time or another. Steve Jobs getting fired from Apple as the CEO was a very devasting blow to him. What did each of these, and many other people do when faced with a very grave situation?
ANSWERS:
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
CREATION
The answer to any bad situation, whether it be a national catastrophe, personal financial, or emotional blow, the answer is to ensure you're not blaming others for the downfall in your life. Once you've realized your personal responsibility then, GET CREATIVE. Steve Jobs said that after he left Apple, it was the most creative time of his life. Some of the problems that are thrown at us are often far worse than others,, but the solution is always the same. If you want to rise above it emotionally, you have to get creative. Whether it is creating on your house, your business, or your future, get creative. The clients of mine that got creative on their business and doubled up their marketing efforts are not slowing down or seeing much of a dip in their income at all; in fact, some are having their highest-ever stats. On the other hand, some business owners that haven’t increased their marketing told me that their income has dropped from 50 to 70%.
Continually creating things and coming up with new innovations constantly is such a morale booster in itself. Despite any health condition a person has if he remains creative and productive, the health condition may not slow him down too much at all. Carroll Shelby of the Shelby Cobra and Shelby Mustang automobile fame is a good example of such a person. He suffered from a heart condition most of his life, but he never stopped creating on his goals. He was an incredible example of how a person should run a busnisess. He created a team of people that were willing to work with other teams of people. He saw the benefit of working with the Ford Motor Company which benefitted both companies. Although, his heart condition he proceeded to live until the age of 89.
Being creative and responsible does not mean you have to individuate. The key to success is to create a successful team. I noticed those companies where the staff began operating from home and doing their own thing started to break away from the “working as a team idea.” In the case where there is no option than working out of a normal office environment, the teamwork and games have to be thoroughly reinforced to keep the expansion going.
Life is only what we make it. A great line that comes to mind from Robin Williams in the movie Dead Poets Society, “Carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary."
Here are some areas that it would be wise to create on in your business:
Training videos for your staff
Yearly targets with plans of how to accomplish
New products worked out and piloted
Extra training for staff
Quality Control checklists written up and grooved in
Post checklists of daily actions typed up for each area. Etc.
Get creative and plan out an exciting future for yourself, your business, and your family. A bad operating basis is to do the same thing week in and week out. You and your business will begin to mimic what is going on in the environment. One can create their way to a new level of success or out of a bad situation.
